It all started in 888 B.C., back in the far away lands of Ancient Greece. Back then, numerous tales & myths were told by the ancient Greeks, concerning both gods & goddesses. However, there remains one untold story, one that has yet to be told and remains one of the greatest secrets in Greek mythology.
There once lived an alluring goddess by the name of Medusa. Medusa suffered severe tragedy as a young child, as she was born with snakes for hair, making her an outcast. Battling against a lifetime of insecurity & despair, Medusa spent the majority of her days alone drawing & creating art. She eventually turned her sadness into rage and became obsessed with the idea of success. Fuelled by rage and her passion for creativity, she had a burning desire to take over the tattoo world and revolutionize it forever.
Alongside Medusa, there was a mighty ruler and protector of the earth by the name of Zeus. Zeus and his brother Poseidon were on a similar mission as Medusa. The brothers were on a mission to open the most badass tattoo studio in Web3. Zeus was a natural born networker and had a knack for leadership. He had a vision to gather the most prestigious gods from the Greek underworld and turn them into tattoo artists. He knew that with their godly abilities, they would be able to open the finest tattoo shop in the multiverse.
The two leaders, Medusa & Zeus realized the best way to revolutionize the tattoo industry was to expand their IRL brand into web3 and join forces. Instead of competing against one another, their goal became creating something long lasting & sustainable. By doing so they would become immortalized, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be remembered in history.
Medusa, Zeus & Poseidon knew it was up to the 3 of them to pave the creative path for their fellow Gods. Apollo, Achilles, Hercules & Ares were chosen to join them on their mission of taking over the tattoo world and becoming immortalized. Once all the God’s had joined forces, Medusa let them in on an unknown secret. She had heard through ancient myths and late night story telling that deep in the mountains there lie a mysterious ancient Greek temple, blessed by the Gods of creativity. This temple was said to be filled with the finest tattoo and art supplies ever seen or created by Gods. The next morning as the sun rose, Medusa decided to bring the brothers & the rest of the Gods with her to find this mysterious place in the woods. On their hike through the snow-capped mountains, they stumbled upon an ancient temple. The temple was glowing & you could feel the holy energy, almost as if it were touched by a Saint. They would later name this ancient temple, “META TATTOO CLUB”.
As word of Meta Tattoo Club started spreading, their lonely brother Hades – God of the Underworld – was plotting his family’s demise. Hades was known for being resentful & jealous, as he had always been envious of his two brothers, Zeus & Poseidon. Their father Cronus always favoured his brothers, making him feel like he didn’t belong. Hades only desire was to put an end to Meta Tattoo Club and knew the only way to do so was by doing something incredibly vile & evil… this meant killing all of the God’s, including his two brothers.
One early morning, while Medusa and the other Gods were working at the shop, Hades began to put his plan into action. Hades knew all the God’s were at the shop and it was his last chance to stop his brother’s success. With that in mind, he set out early in the morning with a spell so evil, it would kill all the God’s at once. Medusa’s snakes began hissing, which she knew meant trouble. Before she could warn the other God’s, Hades busted through the shop doors, casting a spell of death and darkness upon them all. However, before Hades could finish his spell, Medusa’s snakes sprung from her head, biting all the God’s, including Hades. The snakes toxic venom saved the God’s from Hades deadly spell, but unfortunately turned the God’s to stone & took away their creative ability that was blessed upon them by the temple.
Fortunately, Apollo had overslept that morning… as per usual. When he arrived at the shop, he was unpleasantly surprised to find all his friends were turned to stone. Apollo, who was known for his natural healing abilities, knew he had to do something at once. He decided to bless the INK in the shop with his godly powers. By getting the God’s to DRINK THE INK, he hoped the God’s creative abilities would be restored. After 4 vials of INK, they finally returned to their immortalized state – forever becoming tattoo Gods.
Aside from healing, Apollo was also known to induce a feeling of extreme guilt and shame onto those who have done wrong. Therefore, not only was Apollo able to heal and restore the God’s creative abilities, but he was also able to make Hades feel extreme guilt for trying to kill the others. Hades only desire now was to be a part of Meta Tattoo Club and be an apprentice alongside his fellow God’s. Medusa, Zeus & Poseidon were hesitant, however Apollo assured them his spell would never wear off and Hades would always feel guilty for his actions and remain loyal to the club.
Now that the whole crew has the same mission – to expand their IRL tattoo shops globally and become the social networking hub for all tattoo artists and tattoo shops in Web3 – it was time to revolutionize the tattoo industry forever!
Drinking the INK is the secret to success at Meta Tattoo Club… do you have what it takes to become a tattoo God?
